with Myatt Murphy.
From magazines, books and illustrated novels to advertorials, product
guides and videotapes, Murphy has strived to become one of the most
versatile writers in the “business of writing”. Never content with penning
one specific genre or style, he’s spent the past decade trying to put his
stamp on as many forms of literature as possible.
His ability to match any magazine voice has made Murphy one of the most
widely-used, easily-adaptable writers in the magazine industry. He’s
worked with almost all of today’s top magazine editors and is relied on
consistently to deliver top-notch, entertaining copy. To date, Murphy has
published over 625+ features, departments and editorials with over
50+ of the top international men’s, women’s and general-interest
magazines. Working under four separate pseudonyms (both male and female), he’s written on nearly
every possible topic, including fitness and exercise, hard health matters,
sex and relationships, celebrity profiles, first-person humor, gear,
nutrition, travel and general service.
Just a partial list of his international magazine clients have
included: American Health, AOL, Arthritis Today, Best Life, Better Homes and Gardens,
Bloomingdale's Little Brown Book, Bride's, Child, Cooking Light, Cosmopolitan, Details, Esquire, Fitness,
Glamour, GQ, Health, Maxim, Men's Fitness, Men's Health, Men's Journal,

Illustrated for Women, The Knot, The Nest, Weight Watchers Magazine, Women’s Sports and Fitness, United

Murphy is frequently used to create advertorial-editorial packages and as
an idea/coverline consultant, with former clients including Details,
Esquire, Glamour, Muscle & Fitness and Self magazine. He is also a
former columnist for "Weight Watchers" magazine. His expertise in
a variety of subjects have made him a frequent guest on CNN News, The
Today Show, XM Satellite Radio and many other national/international media
outlets.
He is the author of
The Body You Want in the Time You Have
(Rodale, 2005), the author of the upcoming book,
Men's Health's Ultimate Dumbbell Exercises (Rodale, 2007) and the co-author of the book

several other book projects to be announced in 2007/2008. Murphy is
also often used as a ghostwriter on many unnamed projects for celebrities
and experts alike looking for someone to mimic their unique style for
books, magazine articles and other ghost-written projects.
In the field of illustrated novels, Murphy has also created and written
three distinct graphic novel series, one of which was optioned for
movie/TV production by Showtime's Jeremiah TV series producer, Platinum
Studios. His most popular series, Fade From Blue, earned Murphy an Eisner
nomination in 2003 (one of the industry's highest honors) and is currently
being shopped around to movie and TV studios.
In 2007, Murphy breaks ground in several different genres to expand his
writing experience even further. Some of the upcoming projects in
development include several illustrated children’s books, a humorous
non-fiction service book and a fiction novel.
